This story is a prequel to Finding Love on Cobble Wynd by Anne Hutchins. It is the tale of how Barnabus Willoughby-Smythe, great-uncle to Beatrix and known affectionately as Uncle Banby, came to own the bookshop at the bottom of Cobble Wynd in the town of Lillymouth.
Set in 1836, in the Regency era, it is a tale of love and loss, of adventure and misfortune.
