About Me

My name is Rachel and I’m a British writer of cosy mysteries and contemporary romance under this name, and historical fiction under the pen name Anne Hutchins.
I live in North East England, about 10 minutes from our beautiful coastline. I used to live in Scotland, and have very fond memories of my nine years there.
I have been married for 23 years and counting and we have three children – two teenagers and an eleven-year-old. We also have a gorgeous Spoodle (Springer spaniel x miniature poodle) called Boudicca!
My son was nine when we got our dog, and learning about Roman Britain at the time we said he could name her, hence her rather unusual name!
My favourite hobbies are reading, visiting new places and walking along the beach with my family. I also enjoy collecting sea glass from our various local beaches.
